About me

Natalia Hostalot

My name is Natalia Hostalot and I am a psychologist and integrative psychotherapist.

I studied psychology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and I completed a Masters Degree in clinical psychology at the Universidad Europea de Madrid.
Later I specialized in Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (School of Psychotherapy and Psychodrama of Madrid).

Within the framework of my studies, I have made several international trips to Canada, Nepal and Peru that have allowed me to discover, together with my experiences with migrant groups in Spain, the impact of cultural and community issues on the psyche and health of the people I have been able to work with.

I have had the opportunity to nurture myself from different approaches within the field of psychology as well as other disciplines that combine body and mind. The practice of Yoga has been with me for years. I became certified as Yoga instructor in India and later trained in Trauma Sensitive Yoga.

Along with my own therapeutic processes, that has led me to be the person I am both in and out of the consultation room.

I understand the therapeutic space as a place of human accompaniment and constant growth.

"Caring, listening and unconditional acceptance make for a strong foundation to start building a safe and welcoming inner home. It is from this warm, sincere and safe encounter that I like to accompany people who begin their own process with me."

My work methodology

My professional background has lead me on a personal and spiritual path to help guide you on the journey to your physical-energetic, mental, emotional and relational world.

I understand the world as a place where everything and everyone is interconnected and where we cannot be oblivious to what surrounds us. My therapeutic approach starts from what is inside, what we have built and learned through our life experiences without ignoring what is outside; taking into account the context and the vital moment of each person.

In sessions I always try to give place to the body and I make use of psychodramatic techniques, as well as relaxation or guided visualization and desensitization and reprocessing by eye movements (EMDR).

I pay special attention and care to each person and story that comes to the consultation because all wounds and difficulties deserve to be seen and heard with the same dedication and unconditional acceptance.

"Although there will be scars, and many indeed, it is good to remember that, because of its tensile strength and ability to absorb pressure, a scar is stronger than skin."
